Nomad's eSIMs are a one-time use and cannot be transferred to a different phone.

Once a Nomad eSIM is installed and activated on a device, it cannot be transferred to another device. The QR codes for activation are single-use and become invalid after the plan is enabled. This is a standard limitation for travel eSIMs and is not unique to Nomad.

If unable to use your eSIM due to phone replacement or loss, you can request a refund in the form of Nomad points, equivalent to $1 USD per 100 points, which are immediately credited.

In the event where you lost your phone, a new eSIM may be issued on a case-by-case basis. Please contact customer service via our website chat or in-app chat on the iOS or Android app.

If the eSIM has not been installed or activated, it may still be used on a new phone. However, QR codes and activated eSIM profiles are non-transferable and cannot be reused on a new device once activation is complete. For further assistance, consider acquiring a new eSIM plan for your device.
