Managing your eSIM effectively ensures continued connectivity, particularly when dealing with expired plans or transitioning to a new plan. This article guides handling expired eSIMs, extending validity before expiration, and installing new eSIM plans.
Managing Expired eSIM Plans
Once your eSIM plan has expired, it is no longer usable, and you cannot access any remaining data. To transition smoothly:
Purchase a New Plan: Once the old plan expires, buying a new eSIM plan is necessary. You will receive a new QR code via email to set it up.
Delete the Expired eSIM Profile: On most devices, we recommend deleting the old eSIM profile to avoid confusion. This step ensures your device's settings remain optimized.
Extending eSIM Validity Before Expiry
If your current eSIM plan is near expiration:
Add a Data Add-on: Purchase an add-on for your current plan before it expires. The add-on automatically activates when the original plan’s data is depleted, allowing continuous usage without requiring a new eSIM installation. Plan ahead for trips to ensure enough data coverage. You will receive app notifications and an email when your plan utilization reaches 60% and 80%.
