Deep Dive Dubai: Record-breaking dive pool

Deep Dive Dubai's 60-meter depth surpasses the previous record held by Poland's Deepspot, which is 45 meters deep. The pool contains 14 million liters of fresh water, equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools, and is maintained at a comfortable 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit), making it ideal for divers of all levels.

Deep Dive Dubai is not just a dive pool though - there is also a lot to discover in the pool. The pool features a sunken city waiting to be explored, complete with an abandoned streetscape, apartment, garage, and an arcade.

Do I need to know how to dive?

No, you don’t!

Deep Dive Dubai caters to both beginners and experienced divers. For novices, there are introductory courses and guided dives with professional instructors. Experienced divers can explore the depths on their own, enjoying the pool's various underwater environments and challenges. The facility also offers freediving and technical diving courses for those looking to enhance their skills.

For beginners who are new to diving, there are a number of discovery packages where you can try out diving! Depending on the course that you select, you will be allowed to dive down to different depths of the pool. And if you don’t want to go underwater, there is also the option to simply snorkel and discover the sunken city from the surface of the water!

For experienced and certified divers, you will be able to free dive or scuba dive in the Deep Dive Dubai. Deep Dive Dubai offers a very different experience from the free diving experiences that you have out at sea. Instead of corals and marine wildlife, you’ll be exploring the sunken city in the pool, a concept that is very characteristic of Dubai. The advantage also is that you will not be susceptible to unpredictable weather conditions as you would if you were out at sea.

Is Deep Dive Dubai suitable for children?

Deep Dive Dubai also has programs and experiences tailored for children, but the children need to be of at least 8 years and above. They will also need to know how to swim to be able to take part in the experience.

Preparing for your Deep Dive Dubai Experience

Here are some essential tips to help you prepare for your Deep Dive Dubai Experience:

  • For most of the experiences, required equipment will be provided. However, you will need to bring along your own swimwear and slippers.
  • If you will be scuba diving or free diving, you will need to bring along your proof of certification and diving logbook.
  • You will also need to bring along your passport and ID documents.
  • Walk-ins are allowed, subject to availability. To secure your slot, it is advisable to make an advanced booking either via their official site or through third-party sites like GetYourGuide or Civitatis.
  • For your own safety, ensure that you do not plan your dive on the last day of your trip; and don’t plan to visit the Burj Khalifa on the same day of your dive. It is recommended to wait 18-24 hours after your dive before you ascend higher than 300 metres.
