Singapore's premier open-air movie experience

· 2 min read

Open-air cinemas are a staple of the summer season across America and some European cities. But in Singapore, where it is summer all-year round, open-air cinemas are something that are not at all common — no thanks to its warm and humid weather that probably have most people choosing to stay indoors. But, if you will be traveling to Singapore and seeking an unique movie-watching experience in this bustling city, the Film At The Fort might just be what you are looking for.

Films At The Fort

There's something truly magical about watching a movie under the starry night sky, surrounded by the beautiful cityscape of Singapore. Film At The Fort offers a unique and unforgettable outdoor cinema experience that has captivated movie enthusiasts since its inception. Set against the stunning backdrop of Fort Canning Park, this annual event has become a much-anticipated highlight in Singapore's entertainment calendar.

The location itself adds a touch of enchantment to the event. Fort Canning Park, nestled amidst the bustling cityscape, provides a serene and picturesque setting for the outdoor cinema. This park is an iconic hilltop landmark that has witnessed many of Singapore’s historical milestones, and once served as the Headquarters of the Far East Command Centre and British Army Barracks. Today, it is a beautiful restored natural amphitheatre surrounded by trees and overlooks the city skyline.
